HOW MANY GUESTS CAN THE SPACE ACCOMODATE?

150 is the maximum capacity.

WHAT IS YOUR WEDDING SEASON?

May to October with limited dates available. Ten events a year under ALR rules so spots are limited.

HOW FAR IS RAVEN AND STEEL FROM NEARBY CITIES?

A  15 minute drive will get you into the heart of downtown Salmon Arm. Kelowna and Kamloops are approximently 1.25 hours away.

WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO GET READY IN?

We have a bridal suite that is fully equipped with makeup and hair stations, comfortable seating, a dressing area and a washroom. The groom's area is located at the horse barn inside the tack room and is equipped with a bar fridge, a table for card playing, a suit stand and a washroom.

WHAT TIME SHOULD WE BOOK OUR CEREMONY FOR?

For on-site ceremonies, aim for 2-4pm. For church ceremonies, consider 1-3pm with travel time.

DO YOU OFFER LODGING?

On-site accommodations are not available at our wedding venue. However, we are happy to offer suggestions for nearby lodging options. Multiple hotels are situated within a 15-minute drive from the venue. Additionally, Airbnb listings and several local campgrounds are available nearby for your consideration.

WHAT DO WE DO IF IT RAINS?

We will discuss a rain plan well in advance of your wedding day. You will have access to the full facility, ensuring that your plans can proceed smoothly regardless of rain or shine.

ARE YOU REQUIRED A WEDDING PLANNER?

While we do not require you to have a wedding planner, we highly recommend one, especially for outdoor events, as they require meticulous attention to detail to ensure a magical day. At Raven and Steel, we provide a hostess for your wedding day.

CAN WE PROVIDE OUR OWN ALCOHOL?

Yes, however, please ensure that all rules and regulations under the BC liquor laws are followed. A Special Event Permit is required, and our bartenders come equipped with Serving It Right certificates, as part of the mandatory bar service package of choice.  We are unable to accommodate BYOB events.

WHAT IS THE INSURANCE REQUIREMENT?

The hosts are required to obtain Special Events Liability Policy that covers all days of event and a minimum coverage of 3 million dollars.

WHAT TIME DOES THE BAR CLOSE?

Last call is at 11:45 pm, and the bar officially closes at midnight. Additionally, we aim to ensure that our weddings and events remain enjoyable and clean without any unpleasant experiences.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED?

We do not provide florist, DJ, catering, officiant, or photography services. However, we can provide recommendations for trusted vendors in these areas.

DO YOU HAVE WASHROOMS?

We have two permanent flushable washrooms with hand washing sink. Washrooms are always stocked with toilet paper, soap and paper towel.  We also take care of garbage removal.

DO YOU HAVE ANY RESTRICTIONS?

We do have restrictions on certain décor elements, such as open flame candles and items like glitter, confetti, and rice. A list of our provisions will be provided upon request.

DO YOU OFFER SHUTTLE?

Shuttle companies, as well as taxi services, will be available to come to our venue.

DO YOU HAVE PARKING?

We have dedicated parking areas that can accommodate up to 100 vehicles. Guests are welcome to leave their vehicles parked overnight until noon the day after the event.

CAN WE BRING OUR PET?

Your furry friend is welcome to join you all day, but must be leashed and supervised.

HOW CAN I RESERVE MY DATE?

All bookings are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Your event will be considered booked and your date secured once we receive your non-refundable security retainer and signed contract.
